Actor/Writer/Director/Model

Originally from Oakland, California, Vanelle attended the performing arts high school Pinole Valley High. Although that would be where Vanelle would first perform on stage as an actress and dancer, it was as a small child performing impromptu plays for her grandmother that Vanelle first realized she loved not only acting, but directing as well.

After graduating high school Vanelle continued performing in college Dance Productions. At the same time Vanelle was working full time in a Berkeley grocery store where Mike White, a local photographer, "discovered" her and introduced her to modeling. Many of Vanelle's most favorite photographs were done by Mike White in those early days of her modeling career.

Moving out to North Carolina, Vanelle discovered a very active Independent Film industry. She tested the waters by acting as an extra for Warner Brother's "Juwanna Mann". It wasn't long before the acting bug bit Vanelle again and she found herself with two auditions on the same day, winning both roles.

Vanelle could only take this as a sign as to what she should be doing. Since those first auditions Vanelle has worked in projects such as, "Cutting Room!", "Guerrilla!", "Survival", "Psycho Holocaust", "Shotgun Kiss" and the award winning "See the Dead".

But acting would not be enough for Vanelle. Soon after appearing in a few films, she began working behind the camera as director, assistant director, casting director, producer, and writer.

This ability for Vanelle to wear multiple hats has allowed her to work full time in film and produce her own short films, including her first entitled, "Inheriting the Earth". It was released in 2007 under her production company MAGIC TRIBE PICTURES.

VANELLE stars as Gwen in The Fade to Black Group's feature film REMNANTS. She plays opposite Vampire Diaries star ROBERT PRALGO. Film is currently in production.

VANELLE will be attending the 2010 Action On Film Fest in Pasadena California for EXHIBIT A-7. The film has been nominated for the XRISTOS GUERRILLA FILM AWARD.  The film also star Vampire Diaries ROBERT PRALGO, CHOP's ADAM MINAROVICH, and KERBEROS's COURTNEY HOGAN. Film shows July 26th at 6pm.

VANELLE has officially wrapped her role as crystal meth addict ALICE in LAZARUS ENTERTAINMENT'S horror film RAGS.  Film also stars BILLY GABERINA, SAMANTHA NOVAK, and STEVE BEAVER.
